I want to volunteer, when can I come?
Individuals are always welcome to drop in at our St. Casimir site on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturday mornings (details below). Groups of 3 or more, please contact email@example.com or leave a voicemail at 414-301-1478.
St. Casimir Site
924 E. Clarke St. in St. Casimir Parish Hall.
The hall is located on the basement level of the school building behind Our Lady of Divine Providence Parish. Note: Volunteer entrance doors are on the west side of the building in the alley between the church and school. Parking is in the church lot north of the building, with an entrance on Weil St.

Can children volunteer?
Children over the age of 5 can volunteer when accompanied by an adult. With children under 12 we would prefer one adult to one child.
Can I bring 3 or more of my friends? Can I schedule a group with my school, church, neighborhood block, business?

Do I need to fill anything out/sign-up beforehand?
St. Casimir Site, there is no need to sign up in advance.
Please simply sign in on the iPads when you arrive.
Gaenslen Site, please sign up in advance by emailing email@example.com
Can I fulfill my service hours at your organization?
We’re happy to have you complete your school or court-ordered service hours at the food pantry! Please just join us during our regular service hours, track your own hours, and we will sign any paperwork at the end of the shift.
Is orientation required before I arrive?
Orientation is given upon arrival.
What will I be doing when I volunteer?
Tasks vary based on need and volunteer interest. Volunteers assist pantry clients with registration, grocery selection, helping shoppers carry bags, serving snacks, cleaning up -- and anything else we can use help with. Hands-on training and assignments are given upon arrival.
Wednesdays – sorting and processing food donations and stocking shelves.
Fridays – rescuing and sorting produce donations.
Tuesdays and Saturdays are open for food distribution.
What do I need to bring or wear to volunteer?
Please wear casual clothing and close-toed shoes. Please keep all valuables at home.
What and how can I donate?
If you have perishable donations, please call our office to discuss appropriate ways to donate.
Donations for non-perishable foods should be in good condition and not expired.
We accept donations of non-perishable foods Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday mornings 8:30-11am at our St. Casimir site (924 E. Clarke St).
OR the school lobby of our Gaenslen site (1250 E. Burleigh St). During school there is a donation bin at the main entrance. Please enter through the main doors and tell security you are there to donate to the pantry.
The Riverwest Food Pantry operates a thrift clothing service. We receive donated clothing Wednesday and Friday mornings between 8:30 – 11:00am at our St. Casimir Site (924 E. Clarke St).
For larger donations, please call us to arrange a special drop off. Clothing must be clean, stain-free, and need no repairs.
We love to receive donations from your garden! We require all local garden donations to follow organic practices with soil from raised beds or soil that is regularly tested. Best times to harvest and drop off are Tues afternoons 3-4pm to our Gaenslen site or Friday mornings 8:30-11am to our St. Casimir site.
What other things can I donate besides food?
We always accept donations of plastic bags, toiletries, sanitary items, house hold cleaning supplies, and laundry detergent.
