Urban Farm Site

We've partnered with Maglio Tomato and Groundworks MKE to grow and harvest fresh produce with and for our community.

TO VOLUNTEER:

Go to our Spring Volunteer Sign Up to register for available times!

We have three different locations to volunteer at this Spring:

  1. THE MAGLIO FARM

4287 North Port Washington Rd. Where the action is! Eleven hoop houses where we will be growing the produce for the pantry.

  2. GROUNDWORK MKE OFFICE

227 West Pleasant St. Here we will be preparing transplants for the Maglio Farm site.

  3. THE WOODSHOP

148 South 2nd St. At the Woodshop we will be building things such as transplant tables and wash stations for the Maglio site and other local gardens.

For more information visit our Spring Volunteer Sign Up.

“The sense of futility is one of the greatest evils of the day…People say, “What can one person do? What is the sense of our small effort?” They cannot see that we can only lay one brick at a time, take one step at a time; we can be responsible only for the one action of the present moment. But we can beg for an increase of love in our hearts that will vitalize and transform all our individual actions.”

– Dorothy Day

Groups of 3 or more,  contact volunteer@riverwestfoodpantry.org or leave a voicemail at 414-301-1478.
